Moncton Golf & Country Club is a vibrant, member-focused golf club with over 100 years of tradition, and a future we’re actively building. We offer a high-quality golf experience supported by a passionate team, an engaged membership, and a full calendar of events and programs.
We are a busy, member-owned, semi-private golf facility located in Riverview, New Brunswick, with a full membership and strong non-member play. We host corporate events on a weekly basis and offer a wide range of teaching opportunities through clinics and private lessons.
With a high-volume pro-shop, opportunities for club fitting and retail sales are an important part of the role. We are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to join our dedicated team, reporting to the Director of Golf and working closely with the Head Professional. This role offers meaningful opportunities for development, leadership, and long-term growth within the MGC team.

- Job Summary
- The Assistant Golf Professional plays a key role in delivering an exceptional member and guest experience while supporting all aspects of golf operations. This position is hands on in daily pro shop management, member service, event execution, instructional programming, and team leadership. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive, energetic golf environment by assisting with merchandising, coordinating tournaments and events, mentoring seasonal staff, and growing player development initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to build teaching clientele, support innovative programming, and be actively involved in the overall success and culture of our club.
- Responsibilities

- Supervise daily pro shop operations
- Provide friendly, professional service to members and public golfers
- Assist with merchandising, retail sales, and inventory
- Train & mentor golf services staff (backshop, proshop, starters/marshals)
- Provide private lessons, clinics, and junior programming
- Knowledge of Lightspeed, golf Genius, excel is an asset
- Support driving range, golf cart, and practice facility operations
- Promote lessons, programs, and club events to golfers
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the PGA member standards
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must uphold MGC laws and Policies
- Qualifications

- PGA of Canada member in good standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, reliable, and team-oriented
- Passion for growing the game
- Previous golf operations or customer service experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Compensation
- $18-$22/ hourly based on experience
