Nathan Liewicki
About
A proud former member of the University of Alberta Golden Bears men’s golf team, Nathan has earned two bachelor's degrees: history (U of Alberta, 2010) and journalism (U of Regina, 2012). He worked at the now-defunct Pioneer Meadows Golf Course and Millwoods Golf Course in Edmonton while pursuing his academics. Following his post-secondary education, Nathan worked in the media full-time for more than five years before returning to the golf industry at Bel Acres Golf & Country Club in 2018. Nathan still maintains his journalism ties during the winter months, working as a reporter/editor with CBC Manitoba since 2020. He was nominated for a national RTDNA Award in digital sports reporting in 2022 after winning the Prairie Region Award that same year.
Nathan has run Bel Acres' junior golf program since 2019, focusing on basic instruction, and providing encouragement and excitement for more than 60 new golfers each summer.
Nathan was nominated for two PGA of Manitoba awards in 2025, and named the recipient of the zone’s Professional Development Award. He also finished 1st in the PGA of Manitoba’s season-long Professional Recognition Program in 2025 for his commitment and contribution to the zone through various forms of participation, education, sport development, service and volunteerism.
Nathan is also a member of the PGA of Manitoba Assistants’ Board, with service commencing in 2025.
Most importantly, Nathan is a husband and father of a young daughter.
