Defending champion Yohann Benson and Maxwell Cohen two-strokes back at The Redwoods Golf Club

109 PGA of Canada professionals from across the country have gathered in Langley, BC this week looking to claim one of the country’s biggest professional events; the PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf.

There must be something in the water up at Westfield Golf Course, as professionals Steve Leblanc and Braden Duffley lit up the scoreboard with ten birdies and an eagle in round one. 

An exciting day unfolded at the Amherst Golf Club, where 70 juniors teed off with a shared mission: to claim victory at the PING Junior Tournament of Champions.

After turning 50 late last year, Gord Burns wasted little time showing what he is made of to the rest of the field at the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by GOLFTEC, making 11 birdies on his way to an opening-round 62.

For the third time in four years, the PGA of Canada brings a National Championship to Bromont, QC, as the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada presented by GOLFTEC returns to Parcours du Vieux Village three years after Dennis Hendershott’s thrilling victory over Danny King in 2021, when he fired a final-round 64 to win by one stroke.  

One thing that’s clear after the PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior event is that the future of golf is bright. On Wednesday morning, over 90 juniors arrived at the Amherst Golf Club, bringing their clubs and A-game.
