One thing was clear after this year’s PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior Presented by G&G Brands: the future of golf is in great hands.

On Wednesday, July 29th, 116 junior golfers and 38 PGA of Canada Atlantic Professionals gathered at Amherst Golf Club for a full day of fun, competition, and mentorship. With clear skies, warm temperatures, and a refreshing breeze, the day offered ideal conditions for a great round of golf.

From the first tee to the final putt, the energy was high, and the course was buzzing. Throughout the round, players enjoyed a perfectly timed barbecue, where hot dogs and hamburgers helped refuel the teams.

Adding to the excitement was a very impressive prize table, generously donated by Acushnet Canada, Cobra Puma, Srixon, Golf Trends, Levelwear, Dormie and Callaway. Prizes included golf clubs, carry bags, head covers, hats, and much more.

The competition was fierce, with plenty of low scores lighting up the leaderboard. However, no one could catch the defending champions, Team Balser (Anne Balser, Claira Frizzell, Nathan MacDonald and Jayden Weston) from Oakfield, who successfully defended their title with an impressive score of 52.

"It took a couple of Hail Marys to get us here," said Anne. "It was a team effort from the juniors, I just helped out where I could." As champions, the team was awarded Titleist golf bags in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Thanks to the generosity of the donating brands, the celebration didn’t stop there. Every junior golfer had the opportunity to select a prize from the prize table, ensuring no one went home empty-handed.

A special thank you goes out to PGA Professional Michael Archibald and the team at Amherst for their incredible hospitality and support in hosting the event, as well as our presenting partner, G&G Brands, for their crucial role in making this event happen. Their efforts helped create a welcoming and memorable experience for all involved.

The 2026 PGA Atlantic Pro-Junior was a shining example of what makes golf so special: teamwork, mentorship, and a shared love for the game. With juniors and professionals coming together on the course, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories. Events like this remind us that the future of golf is not only bright, it’s already here.
