Important Updates:

Exemption into the RBC Canadian Open

Beginning with the 2027 RBC Canadian Open, the PGA of Canada’s exemption to the RBC Canadian Open will be awarded to the previous season’s PGA Champion of Canada. The 2026 PGA Champion of Canada will be awarded the exemption into the 2027 RBC Canadian Open, and this structure will be followed going forward.

The change comes after a recent review by the PGA TOUR in how exemptions are awarded to TOUR events. Following the review and their recommendations, this new process was put in place by Golf Canada.

PGA Women’s Cup & Four Nations Cup Qualification

There will be no changes to the current qualification process for both the PGA Women’s Cup and the Four Nations Cup. The current rankings system will continue to be used and is based on a three-year rolling points system.
