Doug has an extensive background in golf instruction. He was taught by George Knudsen, arguably Canada’s best player, and trained under Ben Kern and Mark Evershed, two of the countries most respected instructors.
After turning pro in 1990, Doug developed his own teaching style and has written a manual entitled “What Works – A Practical Guide to Learning Golf”. After being recognized by his peers as BCPGA Teacher of the year in 2007, in 2008 Doug helped coach the UBC Thunderbird Golf Teams to NAIA and RCGA National Championships. Doug currently serves as Regional Director for Golf Canada and also as a National Facilitator for the PGA of Canada., training new professionals in the latest teaching methods.
