About

Like many Golf Professionals I began golfing at the early age of four. I never really took golf all that seriously until my first and only lesson, booked by my grandfather, at the age of seven and I fell in love with the game. Many of my early golf memories are getting to the course nice and early, dew still on the greens with my grandfather, father and either another uncle or my mother. One of my earliest jobs was a golf range attendant, at the age of 13 and this was when I really began to play and enjoy the game on another level.

Prior to becoming a Golf Professional I spent about 10 years working as a environmental consultant. In this role as an Environmental Planner I was responsible for managing teams larger than 100 people, running projects in excess of $5 Million and submitting applications on behalf of our client to the government. Throughout my ten years in corporate Calgary I gained large amounts of business experience from managing client relationships, managing project budgets, contractor management, business development as well as team leadership.

I am currently one of the Assistant Professionals at Valley Ridge Golf Course in Calgary, Alberta. My role is mainly an instructor but support several leagues and club events throughout the year in different capacities. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know this incredible community and look forward to many more years as a PGA member.
